RedPlus Science Review
This science review was prepared by Daniel Healey, BHSc, MSc, RNutr, and reviews the physiological foundation behind the RedPlus method.
The review validates RedPlus’ internal framework by connecting controlled SpO₂ drops, hypoxic signalling, HIF-1α activation, EPO response and red blood cell adaptation to established oxygen-sensing research.
It also compares RedPlus with altitude training and heat training, highlighting how controlled hypoxic training may provide a practical and measurable way to stimulate oxygen-transport adaptation without requiring altitude camps or prolonged heat exposure.
The review supports the scientific rationale behind RedPlus’ internal model, training structure and performance concept.
